About me
With an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice, I spent my first career in the court system in Delaware. In 2001, after relocating to New Jersey with my husband and infant son, I signed up for a stained glass class at a local studio, looking for both a creative outlet and a bit of company. I was hooked right away, and that class marked the start of a lasting passion for stained glass.
When the pandemic hit, my husband's job went remote, and we saw the chance to rethink where we wanted to live. We love hiking and kayaking and were eager to be in a place where those activities were easy to get to. After a thorough search, we found the historic town of Morganton, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. There, we renovated the ground floor of a historic brick building into a studio for Paradise Custom Glass. While we were thrilled to be part of the vibrant downtown community, we still wanted to get out into nature.
It had always been our dream to live on Lake James, and five years later that dream is coming true. We are finishing a house with a lakeside studio, and I cannot wait to start creating there. Once the studio is up and running, I will welcome people to come by — reach out anytime to schedule a visit.
