This Railing is a Show Stopper!

Progress! The tarps are gone, most of the boxes are unpacked, and — the part I'm super excited about — my steel and glass railing is officially up.

This stairway in my studio leads to nothing more than storage, but you'd never guess it from the approach. The steel branches were forged and installed by The Metaled Company, and I custom-fit all the glass inserts for the leaves this week. It's become such a fun focal point in the studio — I love it a little more every day!

We have a companion railing inside the house too, and I had Yanni Philippou film the steel installation for a behind-the-scenes look — you can see that on my YouTube channel. I'm biased toward glass, so even though I loved the railing before, now that it's got leaves in it, I really can't stop looking at it.

We still don’t have our certificate of occupancy so our move in date is up in the air but the studio is slowly becoming exactly what I want it to be. Can't wait to have you all out to see it in person!
