Earlier this week, an email from a client along with these photos arrived in my inbox.  I was thrilled to see the images, especially because this particular commission had a bit of a wrinkle.  Initially, when I met with the clients, they settled on the designs fairly easily.  When it came to choosing the colors and placement for the glass, it got a little trickier.  I made some colorized sketches to help them visualize the outcome and, though they thought they liked the way the windows would look, they still weren't sure.  So I invited them to come to my studio once all the pieces were cut, but before I took the next step to create the windows, to  get a better feel for the finished product.  We were all glad they did because they asked for some changes to be made.  So I set about re-cutting quite a few pieces in different colors!  And when they saw this version, they were pleased.  They have spent a lot of time and effort restoring their historic home in Lawrenceville and wanted the windows to feel right.   They knew what they wanted and that's why they chose to have custom windows created for them.  Along with these photos, they sent a very nice note about how much they are enjoying seeing the different light pass through them as the seasons change.  Taking that extra step insured we are all feel good about this commission!
