In the spring, I sat down with my co-curator at Transformations Gallery, Judy Weinberg, to discuss our up-coming shows.  We talked about how inspiring it is to be involved with so many amazing women who are members of the Borough Improvement League (BIL).   We decided we wanted to put together a show in which artists would share a story about how they have been inspired by a woman in their life alongside their artwork depicting that woman.  We got some incredible submissions!  The show has been hanging since July but we decided to delay the artists' reception until people got back from summer vacations  By waiting, we now have many things to celebrate in addition to the beautiful show. Transformations Gallery has gotten a new hanging system for the artwork, new lighting, a new paint job and new logo.  The logo (seen on the above flyer) was created by Kim Adlerman  a local artist who also has work in the show.  Her piece highlights BIL president, Tyreen Reuter who is a fountain of inspiration that bubbles through our small town.  If you are near Metuchen on Sunday, October 11 between 1-4 pm, please stop by the Old Franklin Schoolhouse to see and hear about all these incredible women!
