The jewelry adventure continues as I took these silver pieces out of the kiln and then worked on them a bit to blacken some areas to draw out the details. I feel like the dragonfly piece is finished but the one that has the Indian pattern seems to want a little bit of glass in the very center and, of course, the butterfly needs some glass wings. These are made with PMC which stands for precious metal clay-- a soft clay that I fire in my kiln and is 99% pure silver. The butterfly has a silver loop on its underside so I can attach it to a necklace. I decided not to blacken it at all but to leave it shiny and bright and I'm envisioning some blue dichroic glass wings attached to the body. More photos to come.
