I'd heading to Michigan today for my sister's wedding.  We have lived far apart since the early 1990's and don't get to see each other as often as we'd like.  As you can see from the pictures, we have never looked much alike (except for when we got matching perms-- cute!).  But we are the only peas in our pod and that solidarity draws us close.  I am so happy that she found someone who makes her laugh again and am thrilled to be one of a small group of people who gets to witness their marriage in the dunes along Lake Michigan.  Afterwards, with family and friends from across the country, we will celebrate Gretchen & Brad and wish them many happy, healthy years together.  I'm sure on this trip we will have lots of opportunities to go down memory lane and just thinking about that has already gotten my mind spinning with new art ideas.  I happen to know one of my cousins has also created some art inspired by this wedding but that's all I'm saying for now!  Many blessings to my sister as she starts this new chapter of her story.
