In 2010, I made this top stained glass window for a couple who wanted to decrease the visibility through their front door which looks out on a main street. They said every time they walked down their stairs, they felt exposed but they also didn't want to just put up a curtain. We developed this design which allows in a lot of light but protects their privacy. They stopped by my table at Junebug this year and told me they wanted to add another stained glass window in front of a window on their staircase. Since the two windows would be close to each other, they wanted them to look similar but not exactly match. We decided to scale back the details since it was a smaller window but to use similar colored glass and design elements. This window will be installed with a hinge so they can still open it to look outside. Now they have privacy and beauty! It is a great honor to have repeat business from clients and I hope they enjoy this new window as much as the first.
