Next Thursday evening, April 23, is the spring art show at Raritan Bay Medical Center. Yesterday I hung a bunch of new glass pieces which will remain up through June.  I also re-installed "Transformations," the piece with 75 butterflies that was purchased by the hospital last year.  It had been taken down a while ago because the hospital wanted to invest in a hardware system to hang it that would be more permanent, attractive and sturdy.  In order to attach the butterflies to the copper coil, I was about 15 feet up on the scissor lift for a few hours.  People kept coming by and saying, "Oh! I'm so glad the butterflies are back!"  It was great to bring them back into the hospital and even better to have them receive such a warm welcome. At the gala event next Thursday,  I'm bringing a lot of new jewelry I have been creating this spring, much of it incorporating metal into the glass ; I hope it is met with the same enthusiasm.  It should be a great event!
