Art On My Studio Floor

When we started designing the future home of Paradise Glass, I knew there were a few specific things I wanted in my space. I wanted it to be thoughtfully laid out with lots of storage and a flexible floorplan for working on all different sizes and shapes of projects. I wanted lots of windows and doors to let in light and fresh air. And I wanted some extra fun design elements — a big one happened yesterday when Blue Ridge Epoxy showed up and turned my floor into a work of art.

Cody had shown me a few samples beforehand, but they were small and he cautioned that the finished product wouldn't look exactly like them. Even so, we agreed it would be really special to make the floor look like a piece of copper, with lots of metallics in blue, brown, and green. Copper is one of the metals I work with, and I felt like that wash of color underfoot would be inspiring — both to me and to anyone who visits the space. I am thrilled with how it turned out!

Photos and video don't do it justice, so you'll just have to take my word for it until you can see it in person. This is the first masterpiece to be created inside my still-under-construction studio, and it certainly won't be the last. Follow along on my Instagram so you'll be the first to know when the doors open and I'm ready to welcome you in!
